草木染め体験は楽しくて、そして本当に学びが深かった（It was both fun and enlightening）。自然の植物で布を染めるという行為が、こんなにも心に響くとは思っていませんでした。囲炉裏を囲んでの夕食は、五感すべてが満たされる体験（all five senses were indulged）でした。
飯田市には、東京のような大都市の忙しさがなく、穏やかな安らぎ（a comfortable sense of peace）があります。和紙作りでは、1000年続く文化を自分の手で体験できた。失敗を恐れずに何度でも挑戦できる素材と、職人さんの温かいサポートが印象的でした。
シェフ・清吉さんが作る春の季節料理、囲炉裏で焼く塩魚、地元生産者の食材——それらすべてが心を満たしてくれました（truly satisfied the spirit）。飯田市で体験できることは、まだほんの一部しか知れていない。また必ず来たいと思っています。

The plant dyeing experience was both fun and enlightening. Gathering plants from the surrounding nature and creating my own design felt deeply connected to the land — something I had never experienced anywhere else in Japan.
Dinner around the irori was an experience where all five senses were indulged. The seasonal dishes, fresh local ingredients, the scent of burning wood — it truly satisfied the spirit.
Iida City has a comfortable sense of peace that big cities like Tokyo simply don't have. Making washi paper by hand — knowing it can last a thousand years — made me realize I had only discovered a small part of what this city offers. I will be back.

森 ゆうき（1992年12月19日 京都生まれ・岐阜県中津川市育ち） Born December 19, 1992 in Kyoto — raised in Nakatsugawa, Gifu Prefecture
中学3年生の夏をきっかけにカナダ・バンクーバーへ渡航し、2年半の留学後、ニュージーランドで1年半を過ごす。合計4年間の海外生活で多様な価値観を習得。帰国後は市民ミュージカルや俳優活動、ピースボートでの世界一周、20カ国でのホームステイ・ボランティア活動、幼稚園から大学まで全国の学校で異文化交流に従事。高校生の就職活動支援・キャリア教育、国際交流シェアハウスの運営統括などを経て、2025年9月に合同会社わら癒を設立。
At age 15, Yuki traveled to Vancouver, Canada for 2.5 years of study abroad, followed by 1.5 years in New Zealand — four years overseas that shaped a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. Back in Japan, he performed in community musicals, sailed around the world on the Peace Boat volunteering across 20 countries, and spent years facilitating cross-cultural exchanges in schools from kindergarten through university. He supported high school students in career development, managed international share houses, and in September 2025 founded WARAI INC. to bring all these experiences together into one purpose.

Tours are held in Iida City, Nagano Prefecture and parts of Gifu Prefecture. Iida City is accessible by highway bus from Nagoya (~2 hours) or by the JR Iida Line. We can advise on the best route — just ask when you contact us.
We welcome 1 to 8 participants for the Samurai Tour, and up to 4 for the Luxury Samurai Tour. Solo bookings are very much welcome.
The community runs on Discord and Metaverse platforms. Contact us via the form below and we'll send you a free trial invitation for 2 weeks. No Japanese required — English is fully supported.
Yes! Children under 17 can join for free or ¥500/month. We believe learning from real adults with real stories is one of the most powerful things a young person can experience.
Yes. We cover all of Japan and are happy to assist international residents finding rental properties. We provide English support and can help you navigate the Japanese rental process. Remote consultations are available.
